Claudia & Franco

Back in June (finally catching up on blogging about this year's great weddings) I had the privilege of documenting the wedding of Claudia & Franco at The Liberty House. It was one of the hottest days of the year but they had a wonderful, colorful time celebrating with their guests with the NYC skyline as a backdrop.

Marissa & David

In September I travelled out to Lancaster County, PA, to document the wedding of Marissa & David in the most beautiful setting of cornfields and history.

AKC Family Dog Magazine

The AKC (American Kennel Club) will be running a feature length article on my documentary canine portrait services in an upcoming issue of Family Dog. The article will feature a portrait shoot with the writer, Rebecca Wallwork, and her adorable border terrier, Winnie. I did the shoot in Brooklyn a few weeks ago and below are some of my favorites from our time together. Watch for the interview and showcased images in an upcoming issue.

Christin & Tommy

Christin & Tommy had a wonderful, fun affair combining Greek and Scottish wedding traditions. This is the first wedding I've witnessed where the woman that caught the bouquet was wearing pants and the guy catching the garter was in a skirt. Really fun, spontaneous outcome that put a great twist on a that part of the evening.

Julia, Skylar, Mulligan & Family

I spent a wonderful time recently with Julia and her family combining a family portrait session with a canine portrait session in Hudson, NY. Wonderful people, wonderful dogs.

1/60th of A Second

If you're worried your dog won't sit still for a portrait with me - think again! All I need for a successful photo is a 1/60th of a second (or less) to capture your dogs personality. Here's an example of 5, 8-week old Border Collie pups all in one frame. It was hard work but the result is wonderfully illustrative of their last days together as one family before they went to their permanent homes.

Great, grateful Janis

"OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!!!!!
I didn't know what to expect...but these are above and beyond ANYTHING I imagined. Honestly. You've pretty much shot my whole day, I can hardly concentrate. Now, I only took a sneak peak because I'm waiting for Mark to get home from work...but from what I did see (about 100 pictures) I'm just overwhelmed with how immensely talented and amazing you are. I never, in my entire 28 years alive, thought I could look so breathtakingly beautiful - and slightly dorky in some photos :) but you've captured the essence of who we are...and not just Mark and I, but everyone!
You are unreal. I just HAD to write you immediately and let you know how completely moved I am from those images.
love, Janis"

Thank you so much, Janis.
