Artist-Wilderness Connection ~ Montana Fine Art Photography

One year ago today Sugar and I packed our bags and headed in to the Great Bear Wilderness for 12 days of solitude at Granite Cabin on the middle fork of the Flathead River. I was selected by jury in 2011 by the Hockaday Museum of Art, The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation, The Swan Ecosystem Center, and the Flathead National Forest to participate in the Artist-Wilderness Connection program to get some alone time deep in the wilds of Montana.

Please be my guest on September 25th at the Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell and hear me wax poetic about my experience. There will be a gallery of work of pieces from each artist that ventured into the wilderness in previous years as well as presentations from the other two artists that participated in the program in 2011.

Thank you to the wonderful state of Montana and the Montana Arts Council that helped fund my experience through their Strategic Investment Grants for the Arts.
