Although it's true the best things in life are free Save-A-Sister of the Flathead Valley recently auctioned off bachelors (plus one celebrity bachelorette and a stage crasher) to raise money for promoting breast cancer awareness and providing funding for screenings to local residents. This was possibly the most fun thing I have ever photographed. The fun was contagious and everyone was a winner: single men and women got dates (from a trip to Portland to see Jimmy Buffet to a weekend on a private ranch for the highest bidder and four of her friends), and $58,000 was raised over the course of the evening. The auction was such a huge success that they had to close the doors an hour and a half before the auction even began as they were filled to capacity. There were nerves backstage but once the guys got out there on the stage they really sold themselves for a great cause.
